Information on some of the species offered

alt textDouglas Fir is known as one of the “best” western softwoods, known for its strength and beauty.  It is used in the manufacture of more products than any other species.  Douglas Fir is North America’s most plentiful softwood species, making up one fifth of the continent’s total softwood reserves.   Many agree that the visual appeal of clear, light, straight, vertical-grain Douglas Fir is unsurpassed among the world's softwood species.  Applications include flooring, furniture, cabinets, garage doors, decking and heavy industry such as bridges and railroads.

Ponderosa Pine
is one of the most widely used species of the western softwoods.  It is characterized as being easy to work with, is highly durable, has consistent cell structure, takes finishes nicely and has a good appearance quality.  Ponderosa Pine has numerous applications including paneling, woodworking, furniture, finishing, and a vast array of construction and industrial uses.

Western Red
and Alaskan Yellow Cedar are rich in color, strongly aromatic, and naturally durable against the harsh effects of exposure to the elements.  Western Red Cedar is the largest and most abundant of all cedars in managed forests and is a relatively lightweight softwood.  Alaskan Yellow Cedar is one of the most beautiful of America's durable softwoods with a fine texture and straight grain, and its nearly yellow color silvers nicely upon exposure.  Both species are commonly used for decks,
alt textsiding, shingles, fences, arbors, trellises and other outdoor amenities; along with construction and commercial applications.

American Hardwood species are one of the world’s most sustainably managed natural resource, and the U.S. is the largest producer of sawn hardwood in the world.  Hardwoods are known for their strength, density, and diversity of species that create an amazing selection of appearances.  Applications include cabinets, moulding & millwork, flooring, architectural interiors, and a wide range of commercial uses.
